Tesco recall baby food products in tampering fears

Tesco has recalled 15 types of baby food products over fears they have been tampered with.

Customers who bought Cow & Gate food for babies aged over seven months are urged not to use them as they may pose a safety risk
and return them to their stores, including the Tesco stores on Stonelaw Road and on Dalmarnock Road.

The products affected include Cow & Gate butternut squash, chicken & pasta 7+ months 200g jar; courgette & hake rice; creamy cauliflower cheese and garden pea & turkey.

Also recalled are: potato, spinach & beef; potato & turkey roast; spaghetti bolognese and succulent pork casserole.

In addition, the cottage pie, tomato and courgette pasta, harvest chicken, apple crumble, banana crumble, peach apple and kiwi along with rice pudding products were also recalled.

Cow & Gate and Tesco said that the jars should be returned for a full refund.
