Tesco shoppers urged to rush to supermarkets for £1.50 clothing

Supermarket giant Tesco has issued a £1.50 message to all shoppers. With the autumn quickly creeping up on us, Tesco has made an announcement that will delight many shoppers.

Just as many shoppers are using own-brand products to fill their fridges and cupboards, people are also gravitating towards supermarkets' unbranded clothing. Now Tesco is helping parents prepare for back to school with uniforms starting at a very purse-friendly £1.50.

As well as low prices, Tesco is offering a 100-day guarantee across all the uniform items, giving parents a peace of mind when replacing or exchanging clothing.

Staple items like the boys’ and girls’ triple-pack shirts, in both long and short sleeves (from just £1.50 per shirt), come in a range of fits (regular, slim and stretch) to make kids feel comfy all day.

A three-pack of boys Tesco F&F Long-sleeve shirts (in white or bllue) are available from £5.50 - which works out at £1.83 for a shirt.

The range also features boys’ and girls’ trousers with adjustable waists from just £3.50 per trouser, and are available in regular, slim and stretch fits, and a range of colours. Several styles also come with ‘grow with me hems’; trousers specially designed with extra length in the hems to be let down over the school year, to grow alongside children – an essential in bringing down the cost of uniform across the year.

Alongside this, Teflon Eco Elite stain repellent technology will help tackle the toughest of stains and help reduce the need for mid-year replacements. Much of the range has been made with at least 50% recycled materials, colours that are made to last no matter how often uniform gets washed, easy iron features, reinforced seams, and permanent pleats to help reduce ironing time.

Head of Buying for Kids & Baby at F&F, Jennie Burbage, said: “We know that getting ready for September can be a big task for families and recognise that school uniforms get so much wear. At Tesco we know that price and quality, along with style, comfort and durability, are the most important factors for parents and children choosing new items.

"This is why our range is affordable and made to last. We’ve done everything we can to help make going back to school as practical and affordable as possible.”
