Tesco issue four-week warning for anyone with a Clubcard as popular feature to be axed

Popular supermarket Tesco has issued a four-week warning to shoppers, before a popular feature is axed for good.

The changes will be made on April 18, and will affect every store in the UK, including Express and Metro stores, reports the Liverpool Echo.

Anyone who currently uses a Clubcard has been warned, as Tesco are set to axe their Pay+ application. The savings people make with their Clubcard's can be rather drastic, so being aware of the app shutting down is imperative.

Alongside the Pay+ app, Tesco's Clubcard app is also getting the axe. From April 18, shoppers will no longer be able to use either application on their phones.

Shoppers will instead need to download the Tesco Grocery and Clubcard app, which will give all the Clubcard prices as well as the shoppers vouchers.

The Grocery and Clubcard app will allow customers to collect their points and turn them into vouchers instantly, as well as create shopping lists.

Shoppers can check their local store with what’s in stock and turn them into vouchers. Tesco customers will also be able to access their old points, coupons and vouchers.

These vouchers will simply roll over into the new app, once people have downloaded the Grocery and Clubcard version.

For those who don’t download the new app, their points will be available on their online account.

The new app is available to download on Android and Apple. Just download the app through the current Clubcard app and your account will automatically be moved.

You can download the Tesco Grocery and Clubcard app for Apple and GooglePlay.
