Tesco is recruiting 9,000 festive staff to help cope with the busiest season of the year.
Yesterday thousands of jobs became available at the supermarket giant - including many jobs in Merseyside.
The Tesco website reads: "Christmas is a magical time of year at Tesco and it's also one of our busiest. We are looking for Festive Colleagues who are passionate about service and want to help us give our customers the best Christmas ever.
"The most important role you will play as a festive colleague this Christmas is giving amazing service to all of our customers. You'll get the chance to work with the store team to make sure our customers get everything they need this Christmas.
"No two days are the same, and it's a great opportunity to learn new skills, meet new people along the way and have fun."
The roles will run from December to January and comprise up to 36 hours per week.
Following a short application process, successful candidates will be invited for an interview in store.
Tesco also say that when the seasonal period comes to an end, Christmas colleagues will be encouraged to apply for any permanent roles available in their stores.
Vacancies are advertised on the Tesco Careers website, with roles available at Liverpool One, Park Road, Bidston Moss and Old Swan stores to name just a few.
