Tesco is making three changes in its stores after listening to customer feedback

Tesco has announced it's making a few changes in store to keep things as "safe and simple" as possible, WalesOnline reports.

The supermarket has outlined the new rules on its website and said the changes had been brought in as a result of customer feedback.

Tesco told followers on social media: "We've heard your feedback and made a few changes to keep things in-store as safe and simple as possible."

Tesco has outlined the changes as follows:

1. More checkouts will be open, making your trip easier

2. Priority entry for NHS, emergency services and carers is here to stay

3. Priority shopping for vulnerable customers is still available between 9-10am Wednesdays and browsing hour on Sundays.

The website also lists additional social distancing measures including limiting the flow of people coming into stores and new signage.

A spokesperson for Tesco said: "The safety of our customers and colleagues is our top priority and we are closely following Government guidance.

There are changes to priority entry rules (PA)

"We have reviewed the social distancing measures in our stores to ensure that they are in line with the latest guidance and that everyone can continue to maintain a safe distance. We ask that our customers continue to support us by following the measures in place."

On priority hours, the company said they are now adding an additional hour to prioritise NHS workers every Tuesday and Thursday.

"This is along with browsing hour before checkouts open on Sundays, all of which gives them dedicated time to shop for their essentials.

"All we ask is, if you're an NHS worker, that you bring a form of NHS ID to our stores, such as a staff card. This priority time will be available in all stores except Express stores," it says.

As well as priority hours, it is giving NHS, emergency service, and care workers priority access to our stores to help them shop when they have the time. Please come to the front of the queue with your valid ID to enter.

"To the rest of our customers, please respect our NHS workers and avoid shopping during these dedicated times."
