Tesco is launching deep-fried brussels sprouts and we don't know how to feel

Haggis. Fish. Pizza. Mars Bars.

Let's be real - we'll batter and deep fry pretty much anything here in Scotland but this latest offering from Tesco might just be a step too far.

It might only be August and the month of Edinburgh Festival Fringe but the supermarket has already announced what its Christmas menu will be this year.

Deep-fried brussels sprouts - yes you read correctly. The nation-dividing veg (of which an adult eats 1008 of in a lifetime) could be a Christmas dream come true for some or a total festive food nightmare for others.

The new Christmas addition, which are vegan and vegetarian-friendly, cost just £3 for 240g and apparently best teamed with the shop's cranberry dip.

The brussels sprouts bites, which will be hitting stores and online from Monday, 9 December are sold alongside other new products such as three new types of pigs-in-blankets.
