Tesco Ireland shoppers baffled by 'new rule' after customers spot sign

Tesco are causing a stir on social media after people have spotted signs imposing a new rule for Easter.

The notices appear above Easter Eggs which are currently being sold in a three for €3 deal.

But in an attempt to stop greedy customers, the shop is not allowing anyone bulk buy more than 15 in one go.

A picture of one of the signs has left many baffled as to who would actually buy more than 15 chocolate eggs in one go.

One tweeter said: "Who needs 15 of these things? My tummy hurts just thinking of it."

Another said: "How many were people buying for this rule to be implemented..? But also.. So much cardboard and plastic for so little chocolate."

A Tesco spokesperson told the Irish Mirror : "To ensure availability for all we regularly place quotas on promotional items."

The supermarket giant isn't the only shop flogging Easter Eggs at the moment with Lidl, Aldi, Dunnes and more all starting to fill shelves with the seasonal treats.
