Tesco introduce priority queuing for NHS and care workers

Supermarket giant Tesco has announced more changes as its stores continue to deal with the coronavirus pandemic.

Tesco has made multiple changes to its operations since the UK went on lockdown five weeks ago, with CEO Dave Lewis telling customers the retailer has “changed more in the last few weeks than it has in the whole of the last ten years.”

One of the latest changes made by Tesco is the brand new priority access given to NHS, emergency services and support care workers.

Those working in the above sectors will now be invited to head straight to the front of the queue at Tesco, helping them to shop more quickly at times which best fit around their work.

The latest announcements from Tesco also include new home delivery changes and details on new store openings.

Tesco has increased its number of delivery slots available to 1.2 million while also opening its first two pop-up stores on NHS Nightingale site which are based in London and Birmingham.
