Tesco, Home Bargains and B&M are already selling Christmas items and people are baffled

September may have barely begun, but a string of shops are already packing shelves with Christmas food, decorations, presents and more.

Confused shoppers have taken to the internet to share their shots of incredibly early festive items at the likes of Tesco, Home Bargains and B&M  - while others have spotted cakes and more on sale at Sainsbury's too.

One customer posted a video of a Home Bargains aisle packed with Santa-themed treats.

“Home bargains are all stocked up for Santa coming. Some good deals on they're chocolates and gift sets,” they said.

Similar photos of Tesco and B&M aisles stuffed with Christmas chocolates were also shared.

One wrote: “Sorry cannot get my head round all this.”

Another added: “Far too early.”

Some shopper questioned why fresh baked goods were already on sale with best before dates in mid-September.

Hilary tweeted a shot of them, writing: "Merry Christmas everybody! The mince pies are on the shelves and Christmas cards are going up in Sainsbury's."

But others were all for it.

"Cue the people saying it’s too early," they wrote.

“A lot of families are on a lower income due to covid, some on 80% wage, and others like myself have actually lost their jobs!

“So I’m happy to see things out early so I can spread the cost more.”

Others were just happy to see some of their favourite treats making an appearance in store.

"Boxes of Lindor are already in for Christmas at Tesco," Lotty tweeted.

"I might get a box with zero intention of making them last longer than this weekend!"
