Tesco has changed parking rules to limit the number of shoppers

In an attempt to limit the number of customers in stores - and to ensure safety for both shoppers and staff - Tesco has already made a series of changes in its supermarkets.

Shoppers have been limited to one per person per household in stores, a select number of people are allowed in supermarkets at any one time, and one-way marker systems have been installed in shops.

And now Tesco has announced it will be changing rules in its car parks, which aim to limit the number of people in stores.

The new guidelines have been shared on Tesco's website, with the supermarket even wanting to help people park their cars, reports Wales Online.

Here are Tesco's new car parking rules.

Help parking

"To help limit the number of people in-store, when you arrive, we may help you park your car," Tesco said.

Queuing in cars

The store explained: "If it's raining or particularly cold, we may ask you to stay in your car to queue – we'll let you know when you can come in."

Floor markings

Tesco stated: "Floor markings in our car parks will help you to keep a safe distance when queuing."
