Tesco fuel deal - shoppers can save money off when spending £60 or more on groceries

Supermarket giant Tesco is slashing the price of fuel for shoppers spending £60 or more on groceries in store and online.

The chain is offering customers 10p off fuel from today until 25 August 2019.

Shoppers who spend in store will automatically receive a money-off fuel coupon with their receipt to redeem at any Tesco petrol station.

For those shopping online at www.tesco.com/groceries the coupon will be delivered with your items or when you click and collect in store.

Getting money off is simple, just fill up at any Tesco petrol station and when paying hand your coupon in to receive the discounts.

The voucher is valid at stores across the UK, but consumers won't be able to use the coupon in Express stores selling Esso fuel, Pay at Pump, unmanned petrol filling stations.

The price cuts on fuel will be a welcomed savings for many households as, according to the AA, drivers are facing the highest petrol prices since 2014.

The AA’s Luke Bosdet said: “The tragedy with soaring summer pump prices is not only hard-earned holidaymakers’ money disappearing at the pump but the loss of income for the tourism industry.

"If every car that heads to the South West, Wales, the Lake District, Scotland or other UK holiday destinations pays an extra £7 a tank for fuel compared to two years ago, that is many millions of pounds not being spent in places where a good tourist season is make or break for those communities.”
