Tesco Express store in Nottingham city centre shuts for refurbishment

A busy Tesco store in Nottingham city centre has closed its doors for two weeks as it undergoes a refurbishment.

Staff at the Tesco Express store in Angel Row were seen on Monday (January 20) taking out fridges, shelves and stock as it closes for the next fortnight.

The store will reopen at 8am on Monday, February 3 following its revamp.

The nearest Tesco shop for customers during the closure is in Maid Marian Way.

A worker at the store said new fridges would be brought to the shop.

A Tesco spokesperson said: "Our Long Row Nottingham Express store is temporarily closed for two weeks while we refresh the store.

"We look forward to welcoming back our customers shortly and apologise for any inconvenience while the shop is closed."
