Social distancing and staying home may have been crucial for helping navigate the pandemic, but for many people this has also meant being stuck behind doors with an abusive partner or family member.
In fact, the World Health Organisation has reported that lockdown has led to a significant increase in the number of people reporting incidents of domestic abuse across Europe, while after three weeks of lockdown starting, calls to the National Domestic Abuse helpline in the UK were 49% higher than usual.
And now Tesco has got involved in the fight against domestic violence.
They are including contact information on its receipts for the free 24 hour National Domestic Abuse Helpline and the Bright Sky app - which contains a UK-wide directory of specialist domestic abuse support services.
According to the MEN, the message reads: "Help is available if you're experiencing domestic abuse. Call the National Domestic Abuse helpline on 0808 2000 247. Download the Brightsky App.
Shoppers have started to spot the message on the supermarket's receipts, and have praised Tesco for the brilliant initiative.
One shopper tweeted: "Shoutout to Tesco for putting the national domestic abuse helpline on all their receipts.
Another said: "Good on Tesco including this on their receipts."

Speaking about the initiative, a Tesco spokesperson said : "Domestic abuse affects 1 in 3 women and 1 in 6 men during their lifetime.
"By using our till receipts to provide information on where victims of domestic abuse can access support, we hope that more people will be able to get the help they need.”
