Tesco changes parking rules to limit number of shoppers amid coronavirus

Supermarkets have been forced to bring in a raft of new changes to ensure the safety of shoppers during coronavirus.

Customers have been made to queue to limit the number of people in store while one-way aisles have also been introduced.

And now Tesco has announced it will be changing rules in car parks.

The supermarket giant will help people park to limit the number of people in store.

The new guidelines have been shared on Tesco's website, reports Wales Online.

Here are the new car parking rules:

Help parking

"To help limit the number of people in-store, when you arrive, we may help you park your car," Tesco said.

Queuing in cars

The store explained: "If it's raining or particularly cold, we may ask you to stay in your car to queue – we'll let you know when you can come in."

Floor markings

Tesco stated: "Floor markings in our car parks will help you to keep a safe distance when queuing."
