Britain's biggest supermarket has revealed it's axing its partnership with a major fuel retailer in a move that will stop shoppers collecting points when they fill up all year round.
At present, Clubcard customers can earn points on fuel at all Tesco Petrol stations and all Esso petrol stations.
However, from 1 June 2019, you'll no longer be able to earn Clubcard points at Esso branded stations where no Tesco Express is present.
The move forms part of shake up between supermarkets over where customers will be able to gather points when they shop at supermarket fuel stations.
On 31 May, Nectar-card users will no longer be able to collect points at BP garages, however the scheme is switching to Esso - which means Sainsbury's customers will be able to collect Nectar points at these stations instead.
Esso is set to end its Tesco Clubcard partnership at the end of May, and join the Nectar scheme in June. You can currently collect one Clubcard point for every £3 spent at Esso.
