Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury's, Morrisons and Lidl warn shoppers not to eat these pork, milk, cheese and seafood products

Supermarket giants Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury's, Morrisons and Lidl have all recalled a series of produts.

Shoppers are being warned not to eat the affected items, and are being asked to return the product.

The Food Standards Agency and Trading Standards have issued several recall notices in the last few weeks with products including meat, dairy, cakes and kitchen utensils affected.

Here are all of the latest product recalls, according to LancsLive.

Asda

General Mills UK is voluntarily recalling a limited quantity of YOP STRAWBERRY 6 x 500g with Best Before date 6th Feb 2021.

The recall is being carried out due to the incorrect language appearing on the pack, meaning that the allergens are not correctly declared in English.

There is no food safety risk associated with this batch of product.

  • Date Code: 6th Feb 2021
  • Price: 50p
  • Barcode: 332977001449

No other products or date codes have been affected.

If you have purchased Yoplait YOP Strawberry 6X500g with a date code of 6th Feb 2021, please bring it back to your nearest store where you will be given a full refund. You do not need your receipt.

Morrisons, Asda, Iceland

Milkybar Treats

As a precautionary measure, Lactalis Nestlé Chilled Dairy UK is voluntarily recalling Nestle Milkybar Little Treats with the specific use-by date 13/02 and 14/02 due to a strong unpleasant salty taste caused by an ingredient which is part of the normal composition but that has overdosed in the production of these batches.

There is no food safety or health risk but the impact on taste can be unpleasant to consumers.

The Use By date can be found printed on the top of the pot lid.

Any consumers who have bought packs with the above Use By Date should not consume them and dispose of the contents, but return the top of pot lid with this Use By date for a full refund to: Freepost Nestle UK Consumer Services, Nestle Milkybar Little Treats Recall, PO BOX 205, YORK, YO91 1XY.

If you have any questions, please contact the Nestlé Customer Careline on Freephone on 0800 00 00 30 in the UK between 9:00 – 17:00 Mon – Fri.

The Safety and Quality of our products are non-negotiable priorities for the company.

Tesco

Tesco has recalled the Tesco Finest Taleggio 200g cheese because it contains Listeria monocytogenes.

According to the FSA, "symptoms caused by this organism can be similar to flu and include high temperature, muscle ache or pain, chills, feeling or being sick and diarrhoea."

Some people are more vulnerable to listeria infections, "including those over 65 years of age, pregnant women and their unborn babies, babies less than one month old and people with weakened immune systems," the FSA writes.

If you have bought this product Tesco advises the following: "Do not eat the affected product. Instead, return it to a Tesco store where a full refund will be given. No receipt is required.

"If you’re currently self-isolating, please contact Tesco Customer Services to arrange a refund."

Lidl

Lidl has recalled its Birchwood XXL pork mince because it may contain pieces of plastic.

In a recall notice sent out by the Food Standards Agency, shoppers are warned that the "possible presence of plastic makes this product unsafe to eat".

It affects 1kg pack sizes of 12% fat mince with the use by date February 13, 2021.

If you have bought the above product do not eat it. Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.

Sainsbury's, Co-op, Asda, Waitrose
