Families across Scotland are struggling to pay their bills amid the worsening cost of living crisis.
With Ofgem set to raise the energy price cap by £800 in October, households are looking for any way possible to cut back on expenses.
One way you can help keep costs low if you have children is by getting them a free meal.

Luckily, a number of supermarket chains currently have promotions on that lets kids eat for free so long as the adult they are with purchases a meal themselves.
Here is a rundown of all of the supermarkets that children can eat free at this week.
Tesco
Tesco has taken to social media to announce that up until June 3 — this Friday — kids can enjoy a free meal with any item purchased with a Clubcard in The Café.
The offer includes a kids hot meal deal, kids breakfast for dine in, or Kids Pick ‘n’ Mix lunch — which consists of one sandwich, one drink, one fruit item and a choice of two snacks.

Asda
Between Monday and Friday, and after 3pm, kids can eat free at Asda Cafés when the parent or guardian they are with spends more than £4.
Additionally, kids hot meals come with a free portion of vegetables and also contain at least two of their recommended five-a-day.

Morrisons
At Morrisons Cafés, children can eat for free when the adult they are with spends £4.50 or more on a meal.
The offer is only available after 3pm each day, and only one free meal from the kids menu is included with any one adult meal.
Additionally, extra portions or trade ups are not included in the £4.50 minimum value, and the offer excludes all Café specials.

Up until Friday, if you spend £5 or more in an M&S Café, you will get a kids’ meal deal worth £3.95 for free.
This meal includes a sandwich, toastie, pizza or pasta, as well as a treat (such as gingerbread or a chocolate lolly), a piece of fruit and a drink.
