Tesco has announced some big changes to its loyalty card scheme including an optional £7.99 a month deal that could provide some significant savings.
The new Clubcard Plus deal may come with that monthly fee - but if you spend £100 a month at Tesco then you will get £10 off, so the deal could pay for itself.
As well as food and drink, Clubcard Plus sees you get 10 per cent off F&F, Fred & Flo, Go Cook, Tesco Pet, Carousel, and Fox & Ivy brands every time you shop.
Clubcard Plus subscribers can get up to four other benefits each month:
- 10% off two big shops in-store (exclusions and limits apply).
- 10% off selected Tesco brands in-store (F&F, Fred & Flo, Go Cook, Tesco Pet, Carousel, Fox & Ivy
- Double data from Tesco Mobile (conditions apply).
- Tesco Bank credit card with no foreign exchange fees abroad (Over 18’s and UK residents only, subject to status. Other fees may apply).
The new Clubcard Plus service will launch later this year and will be available to use in all UK Tesco stores.

"First launched in 1995, Tesco relaunched Clubcard in 2018, making it simpler and easier to use; introducing contactless cards, improving the Clubcard app and adding new reward partners to bring even more value to members.
" Tesco also launched Faster Vouchers that allow customers to get their vouchers quickly by downloading them into the Clubcard app – with no waiting for their Clubcard statement to arrive in the post.
"As part of its Centenary celebrations, Tesco created Clubcard Prices - whereby Clubcard holders are offered lower prices, which was the first time a UK supermarket had offered savings in this way to its customers."
