Tesco and Aldi issue recalls for two products over safety concerns

Two food products have been recalled by Tesco and Aldi due to safety concerns.

Tesco is recalling its Tesco Tzatziki as the product contains egg, which is not mentioned on the label, meaning it could be a possible health risk to people with allergies or intolerances.

The Food Standards Agency explains this has happened as "due to a packaging error, some of the packs contain Sour Cream and Chive Dip."

It continues: "If you have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to egg do not eat it. Instead return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.

Meanwhile, Aldi has recalled its Harvest Morn Crisp Rice as it may contain pieces of plastic, making it unsafe to eat.

"If you have bought the above product do not eat it. Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund."
