Terry Rozier will not troll Eric Bledsoe with Drew Bledsoe jersey

Terry Rozier doesn’t have the same role for the Boston Celtics in the 2019 NBA Playoffs that he had a year ago when they took on the Milwaukee Bucks in the postseason. With no Kyrie Irving or Gordon Hayward in the lineup, Rozier had to take on starting point guard duties and help the Celtics compensate for the lack of two superstar scorers.

As much as Rozier had a successful 2018 regular season, the first round of the 2018 NBA Playoffs served as his coming out party. He averaged 17.6 points, 6.7 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game, and it took him three games to turn the ball over once. Furthermore, his Milwaukee counterpart, Eric Bledsoe, was a disappointment (13.6 points and 3.7 assists) — particularly because he couldn’t stop Rozier.

That naturally resulted in some trash talking. But Rozier isn’t looking to get into a beef with Bledsoe this year.

Though he told reporters at Friday’s practice there will be some tension, according to CLNS Media.

Just two competitive guys, pretty sure [the bad blood] will carry over. That’s what our fans — that’s what they want. That’s what they need. And I think it’s going to spice things up and make it a lot of fun.

Rozier also said their’s “no chance” he wears a Drew Bledsoe jersey in Milwaukee.
