Terry Rozier tells Isaiah Thomas to ‘pull up’ for a game of 1-on-1

St. Patrick’s Day marks Boston Celtics point guard Terry Rozier’s 25th birthday and while today was already sure to be a special day for “Scary Terry,” it looks like the gritty playmaker will be getting another treat. After Denver Nuggets point guard Isaiah Thomas, who played for the Celtics for two-plus seasons, took to Twitter to ask if there were any open gyms in Boston during the evening, Rozier would respond to Thomas telling him to head to The Auerbach Center.

Not for full games of five-on-five, as Thomas was initially hoping for, but to play Rozier one-on-one. A matchup of fan favorites.

Thomas would respond to Rozier’s request and, true to character, talk some trash as well.

Although the younger, more athletic and larger Rozier does have a physical advantage against Thomas, that’s nothing that the former MVP isn’t used to. With him having a better shooting stroke and perhaps still enough niftiness to create separation for a point or two inside, it could be a long game for Rozier should Thomas get on a roll.

Still, it’s nice to see former teammates connecting like this and it’s a great illustration of the fraternal bond that exists in the NBA.
