Terry Rozier doubtful, Kyrie Irving out against Pistons

After missing Tuesday night’s 112-109 win against the Philadelphia 76ers, Kyrie Irving will remain out for Wednesday’s game against the Detroit Pistons at the TD Garden. Irving has not played since he strained his right knee in the second quarter of Saturday’s matchup with the Los Angeles Clippers, though it appears Irving will be alright based on the team’s announcement regarding his MRI on Sunday.

Aron Baynes remains unavailable on Wednesday with a left foot contusion.

There was also a new addition to the Celtics’ injury report for Wednesday’s game—Terry Rozier.

Boston’s back-up point guard has yet to miss a game this season. Last season he only missed two games, both coming at the end of the year, one being the Celtics’ final game against the lackluster Brooklyn Nets.

This would leave Marcus Smart in charge of running the offense against a 26-29 Pistons team that’s 2-1 against the Celtics in 2018-19.
