Terry Rozier denies sending trash talk tweet to Sixers fan

The Boston Celtics are in Philadelphia Wednesday night looking for a season sweep of their rival 76ers.

One of the reasons they’re in such a position is because of their defense on Sixers All-Star Joel Embiid and Celtics point guard Terry Rozier had to remind people about the Celtics dominance and to give his thoughts on Embiid.

“That stuff all really doesn’t matter when you get between those lines,” said Celtics head coach Brad Stevens. “I don’t monitor social media. I don’t really care. What’s between the lines is between the lines.”

However, Rozier denied tweeting the tweet.

“What tweet?” Rozier asked. “Somebody got a hold of my Twitter. That wasn’t me. I gotta go look at that.:

Rozier didn’t even know the content of the tweet. However, he did admit to calling Embiid “lame.”

“It’s just a lot of fun,” Rozier said. “You look forward to it especially against guys like Embiid who’s special on the court. It just makes the game more fun to watch and more fun to play.”
