Terry McLaurin played one snap for Redskins vs. Browns

Terry McLaurin has been one of the biggest hype points for the Washington Redskins this preseason.

In the team’s preseason debut though, McLaurin only played a single snap, according to ESPN’s John Keim: “Terry McLaurin played one snap tonight (first one of the game). No reason given; was healthy. They really like him and how he’s progressed in camp. seeing a lot from him already.”

Fans can take this one of two ways. One, something in the negative column occurred and the Redskins shut the rookie down.

Or two, the Redskins know what they have with the Ohio State product and don’t want to expose him too much. Jay Gruden, praising his versatility and role on special teams, has already singled out McLaurin as one of the best players in camp.

It would make sense for McLaurin to get as many reps as possible in with Dwayne Haskins and the other quarterbacks though, so Redskins fans will have to wait and see what’s going on with one of the core offensive building blocks.
