Terrri Harper wouldn't be surprised if Katie Taylor fight happened in next year

Terrri Harper would be honoured to fight Katie Taylor and wouldn't be surprised if the bout happened within the next year.

The English boxer, who holds the IBO super-featherweight belt, faces Eva Wahlstrom on the same card as Kell Brook vs Mark DeLuca in Sheffield this weekend.

Harper is undefeated as a professional, having won all nine of her fights to date.

Speaking on the possibility of facing Taylor, she told Sky Sports: "I wouldn't be surprised right now if someone said you'll be fighting Katie Taylor in a year just with how crazy my life's been in the last two years since being pro.

"If that fight ever did come around, it would be an honour to share a ring with Katie."

Meanwhile, Amanda Serrano has said she is ready for one “hell of a fight” with Taylor.

The Puerto Rico-born southpaw will meet the Bray boxer this spring, but the venue and dates have yet to be confirmed.

Serrano said: “Now we can talk about Katie Taylor all we want.

“That’s the fight that everyone wants. I can’t wait to fight her.

“The fight can be in the UK, it can be in the States. It doesn’t matter to me – it’s a business.

“The outcome is going to be the same.

“It’s going to be a hell of a fight.”
