Three people have been charged with supporting Palestine Action over a protest on the first day the group was banned as a terrorist organisation.
Fiona Maclean, 53, Jeremy Shippam, and Judit Murray, both 71, have all been charged over a demonstration in Westminster, central London, on July 5.
The Crown Prosecution Service announced the charges, which follow a Metropolitan Police investigation.
And the Met said files on 26 others who were arrested at the same protest are due to be handed to the CPS to determine if they too should face a charge.
Shippam, of Yapton, West Sussex, Murray, of West Ewell, Surrey, and Maclean, of Hackney, east London, have all been ordered to attend Westminster magistrates court on September 16.
The three defendants have been charged with displaying an article in a public place, arousing reasonable suspicion that they are a supporter of a proscribed organisation, namely Palestine Action.
The charge is brought under section 13 (1) of the Terrorism Act 2000.
The co-founder of Palestine Action is bringing a Judicial review of the government’s decision to proscribe her organisation, arguing it is an unlawful ban.
That High Court hearing is due to take place in November.
Hundreds of arrests have been made by police forces around the country in the wake of proscription, as officers arrested people for holding signs, wearing t-shirts, and displaying badges which appear to offer support to Palestine Action.
The group says the ban, brought after incidents of direct action protest including an invasion at RAF Brize Norton, should be overturned, and is a curb on free speech.
Commander Dominic Murphy, head of the Met's Counter Terrorism Command, said: "Anyone who displays public support for Palestine Action, a proscribed organisation, is committing an offence under the Terrorism Act and can expect to be arrested and, as these charges show, will be investigated to the full extent of the law.
"These charges relate to three people arrested in central London on 5 July.
"We are also planning to send case files to the Crown Prosecution Service for the other 26 people arrested on the same day.
“I would strongly advise anyone planning to come to London this weekend to show support for Palestine Action to think about the potential criminal consequences of their actions.”
Frank Ferguson, Head of the CPS Special Crime and Counter Terrorism Division, said: “Following a review of the evidence provided by the Metropolitan Police Service, we have authorised charges against two women and a man under section 13 of the Terrorism Act 2000.
“Jeremy Shippam, 71, Judit Murray, 71, and Fiona Maclean, 53, have each been charged under the Terrorism Act with showing support for the proscribed terrorist group Palestine Action in Westminster on 5 July 2025.
“The Crown Prosecution Service reminds all concerned that criminal proceedings against these defendants are active and that they have the right to a fair trial.
“It is extremely important that there should be no reporting, commentary or sharing of information online which could in any way prejudice these proceedings.”
