Emergency services raced to the scene of a stabbing in south Dublin on Wednesday evening.
Pictures from the scene at a service station on the Sandyford Road show a number of garda vehicles as well as an ambulance and a unit from Dublin Fire Brigade.
Sources told Dublin Live that a man was stabbed in the terrifying incident.
It's understood the victim was stabbed in the neck in the attack.
A garda spokeswoman said the attack took place shortly before 7:30. The victim has been taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
