Terrifying new Halloween trail Phobia invades Newcastle Racecourse

Halloween is now just a few days away and there's a brand new event that is making a frightening first impression on Geordies this year.

A teaser for Phobia was released early on in the summer but the brand new scarefest has now well and truly invaded Newcastle Racecourse with terrifying results!

The teaser for the event reads "Every Halloween deep in the 820 acres of High Gosforth Park, the unspeakable commences.

"Evil that once walked the earth summon together to once again wreak havoc on the weak and vulnerable.

"Pulled from the fiery depths of Hell these creatures, demons, beings will take you on a fully immersive scare experience like no other.
"Will you take the trail of terror? Will you enter the woods? Will you face your Phobia?"

Well, in answer to those last three questions, plenty of people have headed to the Racecourse so far ready to take on whatever horrors await them.

Phobia Newcastle

Everyone from students to Geordie Shore star and Celebrity Big Brother winner Scotty T have tackled the Phobia trail so far and the feedback from its opening week suggests it's every inch as scary as organisers promised.

Posting on the Phobia Facebook page, one reviewer wrote "scary af!! From near car crashes to being chased by chainsaws, surprised I made it out with no injuries!!!" and another commented "Just been to phobia and I can now honestly say my heart was jumping out of my chest all the way around. It was jumpy and had you on edge especially as it was pitch black in the woods."

Echoing those sentiments, a third posted "Great event, total adrenaline rush! A lot of scares and screams. Setting and atmosphere was incredible!"

*If you haven't been yet, Phobia is running on Wednesday and Thursday night. Book your tickets from the Phobia website.
