Terrifying new Halloween event Phobia to take over Newcastle woods

Halloween is a huge deal for a lot of people out there who love a good scare and there's a new event coming to Newcastle that is already sending a shiver down the spine.

Many Geordies love to embrace all the frights of Halloween and it looks and sounds like there will be loads to be had when Phobia launches in High Gosforth Park later this year.

Revealing all about the event on Facebook, Phobia posted "Every Halloween deep in the 820 acres of High Gosforth Park, the unspeakable commences.

"Evil that once walked the earth summon together to once again wreak havoc on the weak and vulnerable.

"Pulled from the fiery depths of Hell these creatures, demons, beings will take you on a fully immersive scare experience like no other.

"Will you take the trail of terror? Will you enter the woods? Will you face your Phobia?"

One of the organisers, Joey Brack told Chronicle Live "A fully immersive Halloween scare event is something we’ve wanted to do for a long time.

"With the great location and ideas we have pieced together, there’s definitely reason to be excited for what’s in store.

"I can’t wait to get this fully underway."

The event will take place over the whole of October with selected dates set to be released next week.

Tickets will go on sale on Friday, June 14.
