Terrifying moment teen daredevil poses for selfies after climbing 512ft Forth Road Bridge

A self-styled 'free-climber' has been arrested after he scaled the 500ft Forth Road Bridge, and posed for selfies.

Cops were waiting at the bottom of the bridge as free-climber Adam Lockwood returned to the ground.

The 19-year-old climbed to the top of the 512ft bridge, posting terrifying pictures of the River Forth and cars crossing below.

A video posted on social media shows the climb by Adam, and it's not his first daredevil stunt.

The teen regularly posts images and videos of his terrifying climbs on Facebook and Twitter, including one capturing the moment he hung from a crane in Milan.

Adam said: “The last time I came to Scotland I wanted to climb this bridge but the weather was too bad so I couldn’t.

The group of three climbed the bridge after being in Scotland for no more than 30 minutes, the Daily Record reported.

“It was decent to be up there, windy but it was still a nice walk up the cable.

“From the bottom to the top took around 10 minutes I’d say, it’s just really steep so hard on your legs.”

Adam was arrested by police on suspicion of "culpable and reckless conduct" after he returned to ground level. He has not been charged.

Edinburgh Live has contacted Police Scotland for comment.
