Terrifying moment carjacker armed with MACHETE taps on woman's window with creepy smile

Terrifying footage has emerged showing a grinning man armed with a machete trying to steal a woman's car while she was stuck in traffic.

TikTok user Ash Massacre went viral after sharing a clip she recorded while sitting in the passenger seat of a car in traffic at Deception Bay in Queensland on October 24.

The footage shows a man holding a big machete approaching the car and tapping on the back seat window with the weapon as he asked “politely” if they would let him into the vehicle.

He had a huge grin on his face during the ordeal, which left those inside the car terrified.

However, he was unsuccessful in getting into the car and continued walking down the street through traffic with the machete still in his hand.

Speaking out about the footage in a follow-up video, Ash said: "It was absolutely terrifying. I didn’t know what to do. I was stuck in shock.”

She said she couldn’t go anywhere because the car she was in was surrounded by other vehicles.

Ash explained: "We had stopped at the lights and basically I could see some dude walking through it and I was like ‘What’s he doing?’” she explained

“And my husband‘s like, ‘Oh, he’s walking around with a machete’ and he was, like, swinging it around. I started recording because I thought it was weird and my sisters would never believe that.”

She also said that “never expected him to come to the car” and “never in a million years” did she think she would try and get in.

Queensland Police were called to the scene where they arrested a 21-year-old man on charges of threatening violence, unlawful entry of motor vehicles and obstructing police.

He is scheduled to appear in court in December.
