Terrifying immersive Frankenstein attraction set to open in the UK this spring

Gothic horror fans can soon immerse themselves in the world of Mary Shelley thanks to a brand new attraction opening in the UK later this year.

The House of Frankenstein has everything you could want - a creepy setting, 'multi sensory environments' that bring the iconic Frankenstein novel to life, vintage artefacts and, for those who can't resist a bit of horror, 'scenes and depictions of a disturbing nature'.

The idea is that you can immerse yourself in "Mary Shelley’s complex and often calamitous past, and uncover the true story behind her life and one of the world’s favourite monsters".

Oh, and it's fittingly located in the house in Bath where Mary Shelley wrote her most famous piece of literature.

The attraction will boast FOUR floors - including a "dank foreboding basement" - with various artefacts, experiences and more surprises.

There will also be the opportunity to book a visit to the on-site escape room where guests must work out puzzles hidden amidst Victor Frankenstein's attic.

It does aim to be family-friendly although the website does warn that parents should use their own judgement for children aged under 12 - and any children aged under 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult.

There's no exact opening date yet, but the attraction is looking to open come spring 2021, provided that this can occur in line with government guidance.
