Two robbers are currently on the loose following a terrifying robbery of a Lidl on Thursday evening.
The males ran into the shop in Clonee, Meath at around 8:40pm, one armed with a hammer and another with a hatchet.
The pair smashed open the tills at the checkouts and took a quantity of cash during the raid.
After they left the shop, they hopped in a Ford Mondeo car which was waiting outside the shop and was being driven by a third male.
Gardai are appealing to any witnesses who have not yet come forward to do so immediately.
They are also looking for anybody with dashcam footage who might have captured the culprits entering or leaving the premises or who may have spotted the Ford Mondeo driving in the area.
