Terrified Spanish rescue dog missing near Edinburgh's city centre – have you seen her?

A "terrified" Spanish rescue dog is currently missing near Edinburgh's city centre.

Lily was last seen running around Holyrood Park and Arthur's Seat at around 3.45pm, having gone missing from the Magdelene area, near Portobello, earlier in the day.

People are being urged to keep an eye out for her, but not to shout or give chase if they see her as she is nervous of people.

Any sightings should be reported to the Edinburgh and Lothians Lost Dogs Facebook page.

The pet was earlier seen looking startled, at around 1.30pm, near the Smokey Brae crossroads with Willowbrae Road.

She was then spotted near to Jock's Lodge and heading towards Willowbrae around 30 minutes later, before the most recent sighting in Holyrood Park.

The Edinburgh and Lothian Lost Dogs Facebook page posted: "Lily is missing from Magdelene and is a Spanish rescue dog. She is nervous of people and will be terrified.

"Please do not give chase or shout on her. Report any sightings to the page and will try get to them."
