Terrified man threatened with blade in Glasgow shop armed robbery as cops launch witness appeal

Cops are hunting two thieves after a terrifying armed robbery at a Glasgow shop.

A young man working in the Premier Store in Barrhead was left badly shaken following the incident on Sunday morning.

The 25-year-old was in the shop on Cross Arthurlie Street when two men burst in and threatened him with a knife.

They stole a number of times in the incident that happened at about 9.25am.

Both suspects are described as being white, in their early 30s, approximately 5'10 in height.

One was wearing a blue jacket with white zip, black under armour trousers and grey Air max trainers.

The second was wearing a blue jumper with black hood, black adidas jogging bottoms with white stripes down both legs and black Nike trainers.

Constable Kirstie Black from Police Scotland said: “This has been a terrifying ordeal for the man involved.

“We are keen to hear from anyone who has any information or any dashcam footage from the area at the time.”
