Terrified man rips Bluetooth headphones off seconds before they explode in fireball

A terrified man was caught on camera ripping off his headphones just in time as they exploded while he was still wearing them.

Footage captured on CCTV shows the oblivious man working in his garage as he walks around uncovering some items with tarpaulin.

The clip then shows the close call the man from Jiaxing, Zhejiang province, eastern China, had on October 9 when the headphones start to spark violently.

Just as he begins his clear up, the headphones suddenly spark, producing orange flares. The firework looking flashes shoot off a few times again, before the quick-thinking man rips them from his ears.

The man, from the Zhejiang province, says he only bought the headphones two months ago (AsiaWire)

As the device lays on the ground, thick black smoke can be seen gushing out of them as the man stands in shock.

Shocked, the man glances over at himself and checks his T-shirt to see if it has been damaged in any way as he shouts to someone inside the home.

While the smoke is still billowing out of the headphones, he goes to pick them up, as he steps over the wires on the floor.

Following the accident, the supplier went on to provide a new set of headphones to the man (AsiaWire)

The lucky man is then captured fiddling around with the gadget, before moving his hand away in a fast motion - almost as if he had been burnt from the wires.

Local media reported that the gentleman had thankfully been wearing the headphones around his neck, and not his ears - which could have caused serious damage.

Moments after the sparks fired off, he then went to pick up the device and assess the damage (AsiaWire)

However, the man did suffer a burn on his hand after touching them so quickly following the incident, local media reported.

Shockingly, the man claimed that the headphones he was wearing were just two months old.

The suppliers commented on the accident, and went on to blame a short circuit on the appliance. Consequently, they have promised to supply a new pair to the victim.
