Terrified kids feared gang were going to smash through windows

A mum has said her kids were terrified a gang of lads were going to smash through the windows in the early hours of the morning.

The woman, who did not want to be named, said she had been woken by shouts at around 1am today, Friday, September 10, on Sunbury Road, Wallasey, Wirral.

When the shouting got louder it woke her two young children and then the gang began banging on her windows and door.

The mum told the ECHO: "I heard about four lads shouting at first which woke me up and they get louder and louder which woke my two kids up.

"Then all of a sudden they were banging on my windows and front door which scared my kids as they thought someone was trying to get into are house.

"I thought they were going to smash my window.

"I was angry as they didn't know who lived in the house, I could of been an elderly couple. I'm a single mum so it was just me and the kids which scared us."

After posting about the incident on Facebook, people condemned the gang's actions and others said they had a similar experience recently.

One said: "Vile this. Some people may think it’s funny but they don’t know who in the houses, poorly people or elderly or people on own with children. Hope you're OK."

Another said: "They did this on Rowson Street on Wednesday night too!"

A third added: "It happened in Barrington too."
