A Kildare woman was shocked to arrive home to the sight of four men fleeing her house this week, in a burglary that saw a number of valuables pinched.
A Garda investigation has been launched into the incident, which took place at a property in Naas earlier this week.
During the dramatic episode, the terrified woman was forced to watch on as her burglars made off with a treasure trove of goods pilfered from her house, Kildare Now reports.
The thieves climbed out the front window of the property – in the Caragh area of Naas – before making their escape in an unmarked car.
It's believed that the woman was responding to a call from a house alarm company indicating the presence of intruders at the property, located in The Streams in Caragh.
A spokesperson told the Irish Mirror: "Gardaí received report of an incident of burglary at a house in Caragh, Naas, Co. Kildare at approximately 8:15pm, Monday 30 th November 2020.
"It is believed a number of items were taken from the premises.
"Investigation is ongoing."
