Terrified girl, 9, flees after 'creepy' man emerged from bushes and said 'come here'

A nine-year-old girl has spoken of her terror at being followed by a "creepy" man when coming back from school.

Bella Boyer was walking through Quinns Rocks, in north Perth, when a man emerged from some bushes.

She said he followed her in the street and told her "come here".

The girl told 7News Perth: "He had this creepy smile on his face and said ‘come here'."

Bella said she tried to run away but the man kept following her down the street to Foundation Park.

The nine-year-old added she felt really scared and described the man as being dressed in black clothes.

Bella's mum Nicole Boyer said she understood something was wrong as soon as her daughter arrived home (7NEWS)

She said: "He was wearing all black clothes, black boots, black hair and a big beard."

Her mum Nicole Boyer said the experience was “every parent’s worst nightmare”, Perth Now reports.

Nicole said she understood something was wrong as soon as Bella arrived home.

The girl told her mum: "There's this guy and he's, like, going to get me."

Bella urged others not to listen to the man (7NEWS)

A Western Australia Police spokesman told Daily Mail Australia  police attended and conducted a patrol of the area, including the route Bella had taken.

Officers did not find any person matching the description Bella gave and said other residents had not noticed anything suspicious.

Bella, however, urged other residents to avoid the man and not listen to what he says.

Mirror Online has contacted Western Australia Police for comment.
