Three masked thugs forced entry to a house and then tried to get into a bedroom while the occupants were inside.
The terrified victims handed over a Brietling Avenger watch to the intruders, who then left. The two occupants were unharmed but left understandably distressed.
The three men, who were all wearing balaclavas, struck at around 4.20am on Sunday, July 4, in Gorsey Lane, Wallasey.

So far all CCTV, witness and forensic enquiries have proved negative and detectives are now issuing images of the watch in a bid to help with the investigation into the aggravated burglary.
Detective Inspector Lynsay Armbruster said: "This was a frightening experience for both victims to go through and we're keeping an open mind as to whether they were targeted by the offenders for this watch or any other reason.
"If you live in the area and saw or heard anything but are yet to come forward following our enquiries locally, please do so and we will remove those responsible from the streets.
"Likewise, if you recognise the watch or have seen it offered for sale, or captured any CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage on the night, come forward and we will do the rest."
