A daughter called 999 after finding her mum dead while a killer lurked downstairs.
Magdalena Pacult was discovered on New Year's Day by her daughter, Wiktoria Bartnik.
The mum was covered in blood after she was brutally beaten and smothered by Piort Cichy, the Liverpool Echo reported.
During Cichy's trial at Liverpool Crown Court the 999 call made by Ms Bartnik was played to the jury.
The terrified teenager told the operator that the killer had previously threatened her mum.

Speaking to the caller the 16-year-old said: "He's been saying she's going to die.
"Please I'm scared I feel like he can hear me, he's in the house."
Officers arrived at the Stockbridge Village six minutes after Ms Bartnik made the 999 call.
The night before the killing the mother and daughter had stayed in Ms Bartnik's bedroom.

When the teenager woke up her mum wasn't there.
She went to search for her and found her body in her own bed.
This is the transcript of the harrowing 999 call, played to the jury at Liverpool Crown Court:
Ms Bartnik: "My mum is dead"
Operator: "Where are you?"
Ms Bartnik: "At home. Please hurry up I'm scared."
Operator: "What's your name?"
Ms Bartnik: "Wiktoria Bartnik. She's not breathing she's in her bed her mouth is open there's blood everywhere. The guy who killed her he's in the house, he's in the house.
"I'm scared, I'm talking to my friend. My mum's dead I can't believe it.
"Please hurry, please hurry, please, please."
Operator: "Just stay on the line for me OK."
Ms Bartnik: "Please I'm scared I feel like he can hear me, he's in the house. Downstairs I'm upstairs in my bedroom."
Operator: "Does he know your exact location?"
Ms Bartnik: "No he doesn't he thinks I'm asleep. I think he killed her in her sleep. I don't want to look please don't make me look."

Operator: "OK if you don't know you don't know."
Ms Bartnik: "Please hurry, please. He kept knocking in my room and woke me up but he didn't do anything to me. He's been threatening to me and he's been threatening my mum.
"He's been saying she's going to die. Oh my God she's not breathing."
Ms Bartnik then sees police arrive and begins crying and saying "Oh my God".
During the phone call police can be heard arriving, at which point Ms Bartnik begins screaming.
Cichy tried to convince the jury that Ms Pacult, his girlfriend, was killed by her ex - Ms Bartnik's dad.

He claimed the other man got into the house through unlocked doors.
Cichy tried to make the 16-year-old believe she was partly at fault by suggesting she had left the doors open before saying he had tried CPR on Ms Pacult before panicking.
The jury unanimously found him guilty of murder.
Judge Brian Cummings QC branded Cichy a "cynical liar" and sentenced him to a minimum of 19 years in prison.
