'Terrified' Amanda Holden's sad explanation on why she doesn't want lockdown to end

Amanda Holden has expressed her concern about entering the 'real world' once the coronavirus pandemic eventually ends.

The Heart Radio presenter, 49, is 'terrified' to think of what the world will be like once civilians are allowed back to their normal routines.

Opening up about her life in lockdown with co-host Jamie Theakston this morning, the mother-of-two admitted that she's gotten too used to living a quiet life since the killer bug swept the globe back in March.

Amanda is throughly enjoying her time in quarantine as she spends some well needed quality time with her daughters Lexi, 14 and Hollie, 8 and her husband Chris Hughes.

The presenter admitted that she will miss them so much when life returns to normal after spending so much time with them over the last few months.

Expressing her worries about readjusting to normal life, the Britain's Got Talent favourite explained: "I don't want to go back.

"I'm actually so scared to go back to the real world. I'm terrified".

She continued by stating that while being cooped up at home, she's seen more of friends than she ever has thanks to Zoom and Facetime.

"I've never seen so much of my friends. I see them more now than I ever did in reality. Zoom and FaceTime has honestly been changing people's lives lately.

"And you know what the worst thing is? We could all be drinking over video call on a Friday night and I still wake up with a hangover on Saturday morning. How is that fair?".

It comes after the blonde beauty insisted that she's missing the human touch.

Amanda is longing for the opportunity she once had to embrace guests before an interview prior to the coronavirus pandemic.

Due to social distancing measures, Amanda, alongside her co-presenter Jamie Theakston have been forced to interview celebrities over Facetime and zoom rather than in the studio.

As it turns out, the mother-of-two much prefers to chat to her celebrity interviewees in person.

On yesterday's show, she admitted that Rita Ora was the last A-lister she embraced before lockdown began.

While herself and Jamie quizzed the Hot Right Now hit-maker, 29, on what she's been getting up to in quarantine, Amanda reiterated the fact that the singer was the last 'stranger she touched' before the crisis started.

"Rita, you do know that you were the last stranger I touched before the coronavirus took over all of our lives" she quipped.

Before adding: "You were the last celebrity in here in the Heart studios. Oh my days, I do miss embracing people.

"It's going to be so strange when we finally get the opportunity again isn't it? I'm not sure if we'll all be willing to give out hugs left, right, and centre after this".
