Sunday will be the return of long-time Baltimore Ravens outside linebacker Terrell Suggs. Suggs hit free agency this year and chose the Arizona Cardinals and their better offer over the Ravens. With the Cardinals coming to M&T Bank Stadium in Week 2, the game almost seems to be taking a backseat to Suggs’ storyline.
Known to be one for theatrics, Suggs is at it once again, taking to Instagram to play up the return in a video that calls him a villain.
Even with Suggs donning a different colored jersey this season, Baltimore just seemingly refuses to hate on him. On the Instagram video, most fans praise Suggs and talk about how he’ll always be a Raven.
It’ll be interesting to see how fans in attendance on Sunday greet Suggs. He was always known for playing against the crowd while wearing the purple and black, and I can’t see that changing in 2019 with Arizona. But regardless of what happens, it’s difficult seeing many in Baltimore thinking of Suggs as the villain.
