Terrell Lewis says he’s ‘back in action’ after positive COVID-19 test

Rams rookie Terrell Lewis had trouble staying on the field at Alabama after suffering multiple injuries in college. Unfortunately, he’s been unable to get on the field in the NFL thus far after being placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list when he reported to camp.

It was revealed on Tuesday’s episode of “Hard Knocks” that Lewis did indeed test positive for the coronavirus and that the Rams planned to hold him out for 10 days. After the episode aired, Lewis went on Twitter to let everyone know that he’s feeling good and “back in action,” politely asking people to relax before panicking.

The door is open for Lewis to step in as a starter this season with Clay Matthews and Dante Fowler Jr. both out of the picture. Leonard Floyd will be the strongside OLB, but the other side will be left up to Samson Ebukam, Ogbonnia Okoronkwo, Lewis or anyone else who steps up.

Lewis’ combination of size and speed make him a high-ceiling prospect, but he has to get on the field (and stay there) before he carves out a key role.
