Former Broncos running back and current television analyst Terrell Davis shared some of his favorite memories of late owner Pat Bowlen on NFL Network last week:
“Bowlen was an outstanding owner but even greater man,” Davis said. “I remember playing for Pat Bowlen and thinking to myself, ‘I don’t know what it feels like to play for another team but I don’t want to ever want to know’ because of the ownership and type of relationship we had there.
“I always thought he was more of a friend than my boss.”
Bowlen will be enshrined in Pro Football Hall of Fame in August.
