These are trying times.
In the United States, life changed for everyone in March, and the NBA community has been trying to find ways to both entertain their fans, keep their workforce in decent condition and determine whether and under which circumstances play may be able to resume.
The Thunder’s Terrance Ferguson found a rather interesting way to spend some of his time, though. In collaboration with CLOSEUP 360, Ferguson took part in CU360’s “Hoopers Meet Heroes” series. The series connects NBA players with healthcare professionals who are on the frontline of the coronavirus pandemic.
Ferguson engaged in a video chat session with Major Jenifer Stockton. According to CU360, Stockton is an Oklahoma City-based pulmonary nurse practitioner who has been serving in the Air National Guard for 19 years.
Although the Thunder’s neophyte admitted that he initially wanted to wear No. 5 instead of No. 23, the interview mostly revolved around Stockton and the community’s handling of COVID-19 in these difficult times.
Over the past few days, there has been some positive news concerning the NBA’s potential resumption of play. Until then, though, it’s safe to assume that Ferguson has been finding worthy ways to spend his time.
