Terminal V to host five hour virtual rave tonight whilst raising funds for NHS

Scottish electronic dance music festival Terminal V will tonight hold a five hour virtual rave to raise money for the NHS during lockdown.

The event was set to take place on Saturday 11th April at the Royal Highland Centre, but was cancelled due to the lockdown measures enforced in the UK's fight to stop coronavirus. DJ's such as Nina Kravitz and Richie Hawtin were set to appear in the line-up for the popular event.

The virtual live-stream will run from 6pm-11pm and feature artists such as Rebuke and Luigi Madonna streamed from lockdown, whilst some previous sets will be revisited, including an Alan Fitzpatrick recording which will be replayed from the 2019 festival.

This afternoon Terminal V acknowledged that if all was normal, doors would now be open for party-goers to dance the night away, however they hope this option will help to make up for the festivals cancellation.

The organisers of the event are still going ahead with plans for physical events in August and October 2020.

During the event, Terminal V will also be asking for donations for the NHS Charities Covid-19 appeal, which supports frontline staff putting their lives on the line to fight the virus.

For more information on joining the festival, viewers can visit Terminal V's website.
