Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya worldwide box office: Shahid Kapoor starrer ends week 1 with Rs 81 crore collection

Bollywood's latest romantic-comedy 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya', starring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, has ended its first week on a high. The film that arrived in cinemas in time for Valentine's Day week, captivated audiences worldwide and the proof's in the impressive box office numbers.

Directed by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah, the rom-com charmed its way to a Rs 53 crores gross earning at the domestic box office and earned a nett collection of an estimated Rs 44 crores.

The film that had a wide release, on par with Hrithik Roshan's 'Fighter' and Shah Rukh Khan's 'Dunki', amassed an estimated Rs 28 crores overseas, propelling its total worldwide gross to an impressive Rs 81 crores in its first week.

For Shahid, 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya' stands as his sixth highest-grossing film domestically and fifth highest worldwide grosser. For Kriti Sanon, the film marks her eighth most successful outing and sixth-highest global release.

As the movie continues to woo the audiences, trade gurus are predicting that it will soon cross the Rs 100 crore mark by its second weekend.

Made on a budget of an estimated Rs 45 crore, the film has already doubled its collections, securing itself a spot on the list of Bollywood hits of 2024. The success of 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya' surpasses the combined lifetime earnings of Shahid and Kriti's preceding theatrical ventures, 'Jersey' and 'Ganapath' respectively. While the sports movie earned Rs 31 crores, Kriti's action film earned Rs 18 crores.

'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya' boasts of a stellar ensemble cast including Dharmendra, Dimple Kapadia, and Rakesh Bedi, among others.
