Terence Lewis: The style chameleon

Terence Lewis became a household name after the massive success of his dance reality show Dance India Dance. He was known for his distinct sense of style back in those days. Be it his trending hairstyle from the early aughts or his deep neck T-shirt paired with a leather jacket or leather waistcoat, he was a flaneur and still continues to impress his fans with his fashion choices.

The 47-year-old did an exclusive fashion shoot with The Times Of India, E Times and also spoke about his unconventional and quirky style.

"My personal style is very unconventional and relaxed. I don't follow trends. I usually follow my instinct," he says.

Speaking about how his fashion sense used to be a decade ago, he quips, "When I was younger in my 20s , I was rebellious and bohemian. Wanting to stand out of the milieu. But in my 40s, I prefer to be understated, with a hint of quirk or fun thrown in to show my creative side. I prefer to keep it low key and let my persona speak rather than my clothes to get attention in the room."

Terence's long list of his favourite designers include Gaurav Gupta, Gavin Miguel, Shantnu & Nikhil and Manish Arora. Here are three different styles rocked by Terence that can be emulated.

Party ready

Terence wears a velvet suit with a matching shirt from Nirmooha. His hair has been styled in sleek half ponytail. The suited look has been accessorized with a stylish neckpiece.

Back to black

You can never go wrong in black. Take cues from Terence, who rocks a black turtleneck teamed with a pair of flared pants from Two Point Two.
