A second 15-year-old boy has been charged with the murder of Teon Campbell-Pitter outside his boxing club in Lewisham.

Teon, 16, was fatally stabbed in Angus Street, New Cross, on Wednesday, April 13.

A 15-year-old was arrested on Monday and was charged with Teon’s murder.

He will appear in custody at Bromley Magistrates’ Court later on Tuesday.

The teen is the second person to be charged with Teon’s murder.

Another 15-year-old male was charged and appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Monday. He was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on April 21.

Detectives are not looking for any further suspects, the Metropolitan Police said.

It came after Teon’s aunt wrote a heart-breaking tribute online to the dead teenager.

Shanice wrote: “My beautiful nephew Teon Rakeem Campbell-Pitter. My heart is heavy, my heart is broken. I’m aching knowing that I will never see you walk through our doors again.

“16-years-old with a whole life ahead of you and we lose you.

“I love you so much nephew I just don’t understand it. I can’t ever imagine this life without you. You are my annoying nephew with a warm heart who always thinks you’re getting hench.”

A GoFundMe page to support Teon’s mother and little brother as they prepare for his funeral has attracted nearly £1,000 in support.

Its organiser Nicole Grant said: “Teon was a 16 year old boy - full of life, love and laughter who had his whole life ahead of him and this was cruelly taken away in broad daylight, where he received a wound that resulted in his loss of life.

“Teon unfortunately died on the spot.

“No mother should be burying her child, especially in such circumstances... our heart bleeds for Teon’s mum who has been trying to remain strong for his younger brother.”

Devastated coaches paid tribute to young boxer Teon as they said he had “his whole life ahead of him.”

The Met said it is the fourth teenage homicide of the year in the capital.

Last year marked a record high of teenagers suffering violent deaths in London.

There were 30 homicides recorded by the Met Police, surpassing the previous peak of 29 in 2008.
